Terry Butcher expects to complete a move for winger Adam Evans when he is released by Burnley later this month.

The Ireland under-19 internationalist, who joined the championship side on a two-year scholarship deal in 2010, is expected to move to the Highlands on a one-year contract.

Butcher has had success by signing unproven talents from England and believes Evans is another in that mould. "He is left-footed and runs a bit like Charlie Mulgrew," he said. "He has a lovely left foot and is also a lovely kid."

Butcher is still working to extend the contracts of Aaron Doran and Owain Tudur Jones but youngsters Ryan Christie and Liam Polworth have both agreed new deals. Gavin Morrison has been released.
