BILLY DODDS believes Jackie McNamara will be a "brilliant appointment" as Dundee United's new manager but expressed his own disappointment at missing out on the job.
Dodds was interviewed for the vacancy following the departure of Peter Houston and made it on to the final shortlist. United, however, elected to go with McNamara leaving Dodds with mixed emotions at being overlooked.
