Bob Garmory, the Dunfermline interim chairman, was delighted with the news that their William Hill Scottish Cup fifth round tie against Rangers will be televised.

The match will now take place on the evening of Friday, February 7 to accommodate BBC coverage, with the financially fragile Dunfermline reaping the rewards in their first season since narrowly avoiding liquidation. The revenue from the television alone will bank them £82,500, while the gate receipts at Ibrox will be split between the clubs - ensuring Dunfermline walk away with a six-figure sum.

Celtic's home tie with SPFL Premiership rivals Aberdeen will take place on Saturday, February 8 at 12.45pm and be broadcast by Sky Sports, who will also show Dundee United's hosting of St Mirren on Sunday, February 9 at 12pm.
