Feeling the pain: Scotland striker Chris Martin 'very sore' after play-off defeat

Chris Martin has acknowledged that he is unlikely to get over a heart-breaking defeat for Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship play-off final quickly.

His side was defeated at Wembley after Queens Park Rangers scored in the last minute.

The striker linked up with the Scotland squad yesterday for the first time but was not in much mood to enjoy the moment ahead of a friendly with Nigeria.

"For a few days this will be very sore. You have to take the positives but at the moment that is hard to do. It is gutting."
