Goodwillie: loan deal is fresh start

DAVID GOODWILLIE insists his loan move to Blackpool is a "breath of fresh air" as he seeks to kickstart his faltering career.

The Scotland internationalist impressed in a 25-minute substitute appearance for Barry Ferguson's side in Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Nottingham Forest and is now hoping to earn a starting berth in the near future.

The 24-year-old, who has made just 10 starts in nearly three years for Blackburn, is desperate to make the most of his spell with Blackpool.

"I see it as a breath of fresh air," the striker admitted. "To get new team-mates and show what I can do. All the lads have been great, I've settled in brilliantly, so hopefully I can get my career back on track."
