Only 1500 away supporters will be allowed into Easter Road for the second leg of the upcoming Premiership Play-Off semi-final after Hibs decided to allocate extra seats to their own fans.

Alan Stubbs' side face the winners of the quarter-final tie between Rangers and Queen of the South, which is due to be completed this weekend, with the Ibrox side hot favourites to prevail after winning 2-1 at Palmerston last weekend.

Hibs will host the quarter-final victors in the semi-final second leg at lunchtime next Saturday, May 23.

Chief executive Leeann Dempster said: "We anticipate a big demand for tickets for this match from our own supporters, and we need to be in a position to meet that demand.

"We will be selling the three usual home stands first - the East, Famous Five and West - and once they are filled we will sell the additional capacity in the South. I know that Hibernian fans will want to turn out in big numbers to help try to get the team through what is a really big game for the Club."

When visiting Easter Road, Rangers, Celtic and Hearts are usually allocated the entire South Stand, which holds more than 3500 fans.

Rangers confirmed recently that, if they get past Queens, only 950 Hibs supporters will be able to buy tickets for the first leg of the semi-final at Ibrox.
