Jim Jefferies has revealed he would be happy to stay at Dunfermline Athletic beyond this term pending assurances that the club is heading in the right direction off the pitch.

With Pars United seeking to raise £500,000 to buy the club, the manager would consider extending his tenure in Fife if he likes what any new owners have to say.

"I've always said I would decide at the end of this season, whether the club was in the situation it's in now or wasn't," Jefferies said. "I definitely wouldn't rule out staying on, provided everything gets sorted and we're back running things normally and players are getting paid normally, and I'm sure that will happen."
