FORMER Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley is desperate not to find himself on the end of a massive FA Cup upset when Crystal Palace travel to non-league Dover tomorrow.

It is a major banana skin for Palace and Ledley won't be underestimating the challenge.

"It doesn't matter who you are playing you always have to give 100 per cent," Ledley said. "It's going to be a very difficult game. We've had a lot of games as well this month so we need to make sure that we have got some rest and then go again."

"There is always pressure on us especially in the Premier League and everyone is expecting us to go there and win. But Dover are in some really good form - unbeaten in 16 games.

"It is a great opportunity for them. They are going to look forward to the game is their Cup Final. Hopefully we can match them with the enthusiasm and go out there and put in a performance.

"We haven't won for a long time and it is opportunity for the players to put in a performance and get some goals."

Meanwhile, Ledley is relishing the chance to play for Alan Pardew who will become Palace's new manager. Pardew will be the third manager Ledley will have played under at Palace in less than a year since he left Parkhead last January.

"We are looking forward to working with him. He has been brilliant in the Premier League and he knows what it is all about," Ledley said.

"It is a great appointment and I am looking forward to working with him. I was a bit surprised after what he had done at Newcastle but it is a great appointment and it is down to us to perform. It is going to be a big lift. The fans are going to be happy and hopefully we can put in the performances."
