Richie Burke, the Livingston manager, has hailed the signing of a proven goalscorer after confirming the pre-contract signing of Calum Elliot, the former Hearts striker.

It marks a second spell with club for the 26-year-old, who scored 11 goals in 14 games during a loan spell at Almondvale during the 2008/09 campaign.

Burke said: "He's got a good record for scoring goals at our level, so he'll be an important signing as we build towards next season.

"Calum will give us another option in the forward areas. He's got a bit of physical presence and he will add a dimension that we maybe don't have within the squad at the moment."
