Rangers skipper Lee McCulloch insists he has no qualms about stepping up for penalties in the future despite failing to convert from the spot at the weekend.
McCulloch had the chance to fire the Light Blues into the lead in Saturday's William Hill Scottish Cup tie against Falkirk but was denied by goalkeeper Michael McGovern.
Rangers then had to rely on two extremely late goals from Nicky Law and David Templeton to secure their place in the fifth round and avoid the prospect of a replay at Ibrox.
McCulloch felt the synthetic surface at the Falkirk Stadium played a part in his failed penalty attempt but the Gers utility man is more than happy to continue taking the spot-kicks - providing he has the backing of boss Ally McCoist.
He said: "I was disappointed at the weekend.
"I was actually scared of slipping and that's why I didn't get a good connection on it. The pitch was slipping quite a lot.
"I'll take the next one. It's not a problem for me if the gaffer lets me."
Rangers will face the winners of the replay between Ayr United and Dunfermline in the next round, having defeated both clubs already in Scottish League One this season.
McCulloch insists there is no reason why the Glasgow giants cannot go all the way in the Scottish Cup this year.
He said: "We've got to believe we are good enough to win the cup.
"On current form, and with the way we have started the season, I don't see why we can't make a real dent in it.
"I think we are further on than we were last year by a long way. Our football and the stats have shown that."
Next up is the league visit of Forfar on Tuesday night, with an extra incentive to claim the three points.
Rangers will set a post-war club record for consecutive victories if they beat the Loons to secure their 19th win in a row.
McCulloch said: "It would be great if we could do it.
"It's a home game and we've got to take the game to them and give the fans something to shout about to get them behind us on what will be a cold night.
"We will have to move the ball about and create chances for our strikers."
