Ray McKinnon, the Brechin City manager, has been named Scottish League One manager of the month for April.

The 44-year-old, whose side host Alloa Athletic in tomorrow's Championship play-off semi-final first leg, won three matches in a row before drawing their final game during April. It was enough to ensure that they finished fourth, one point ahead of Airdrieonians in the final table.

McKinnon, a midfielder who played for 13 senior clubs, including Dundee United, Nottingham Forest, Aberdeen, Luton Town and Livingston, took charge of Brechin in 2012 after a spell in charge of junior outfit Lochee United. More to follow ...
