Kilmarnock captain Manuel Pascali admits he is dreaming of playing for the club long enough to be handed a testimonial.

The 33-year-old defender is out of contract this summer but is keen to extend his stay at the Rugby Park outfit. Pascali moved to the Ayrshire club from Parma in 2008 when Jim Jefferies was at the helm and has gone on to make over 200 appearances.

The Italian is in his seventh season with the club and Pascali hopes he is around for at least another three years so he can fulfil his target of spending a decade at Kilmarnock. He said: "I don't know (if it's my final season at Kilmarnock). You have to ask the chairman (Michael Johnston), I don't know. I don't know who is gong to be manager as well.

"I'm feeling well physically, even after a couple of bad injuries, and I've played over 25 games this season. Hopefully I have another three or four years ahead of me because I'm Italian and we play until we're 38 or 39. My dream, I have to be honest, would be having a testimonial year but if somebody doesn't agree with me, then I have to find somebody that will believe in me again. Hopefully I can have a couple of more years here and reaching a testimonial would be a dream, it's another target for my career."

Speaking to STV, Pascali, who is available for Saturday's clash at St Johnstone following fears he would be suspended for the Premiership game, added: "I have to be realistic, if it is not going to happen here I have to move on and try to see if there's any other Scottish team or Italian team that is looking for an old, experienced player to play for them."
