Released Hibs midfielder on verge of Falkirk signing

FALKIRK are today expected to announce the signing of Owain Tudur Jones, the released Hibernian midfielder.

The 29-year-old left Easter Road 'by mutual consent' on Monday, a little over a season into his two-year deal, having played under three different managers in an unsettled spell.

Signed from Inverness Caledonian Thistle by Pat Fenlon last summer, the Wales internationalist started as a first-choice but a groin injury interrupted his initial run of games and, after Terry Butcher took over as manager, injury left him again on the sidelines later in the campaign.

In the end, he managed just 19 appearances for Hibs.
