Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Portugal's friendly against Greece with a muscle injury.

The Real Madrid forward, who played the full 120 minutes of the Champions League final last Saturday, missed yesterday's training session with a left thigh problem and instead did rehabilitation work at the team hotel in Obidos.

"He will be with us, but he will not compete," said Paulo Bento, the Portugal coach. "We will not set a time limit for his return to action."

Portugal take on Germany in their opening World Cup game on June 16, with the United States and Ghana the other two teams in Group G.
