SPFL League 2 round-up

Two missed penalties proved costly for Stirling Albion as their play-off ambitions were damaged by a 2-2 draw with Elgin City at Forthbank.

Shane Sutherland netted for Elgin in the 14th minute before Jordan White then made amends for a spot-kick miss, scoring for Stirling in the 37th minute. Ross Forsyth then had a second penalty saved.

Craig Gunn soon restored Elgin's lead but Stirling salvaged a point when Craig Comrie fired home in the 80th minute.

Berwick gained three points with a hard-fought 1-0 win over East Stirling after Andrew Russell struck in the 44th minute.

Clyde are almost certain of a play-off spot after a comfortable 2-0 win over Montrose at Links Park.

Stefan McCluskey's penalty put Clyde out of sight after Michael Daly's 21st minute opener.

Annan Athletic will now finish second following a 1-1 draw with Queen's Park at Galabank.

Andy Mitchell's 60th minute penalty kick had put Annan ahead but the visitors equalised courtesy of Eamonn Brophy.

Champions Peterhead cruised to a 2-0 success over Albion Rovers at Balmoor in which the free-scoring Rory McAllister netted a double.
