FROZEN-OUT Scottish international striker Jordan Rhodes is a £12million target for Swansea City.

The Welsh side are searching for a replacement for Ivory Coast hitman Wilfried Bony who has just joined Manchester City for £28million.

Swansea have already opened talks over a possible move with Rhodes' club Blackburn Rovers.

Hull City failed in an effort to prise the 24-year-old from Ewood Park in the summer after offering £11million for the attacker who has been overlooked by Scots gaffer Gordon Strachan for recent international squads.

Boss Gary Monk considered Newcastle's Papiss Cisse before making his move for Rhodes.

The 11-times capped frontman has scored nine goals in 26 appearances for Rovers in the Championship this season.

Ironically, Monk will get a close-up view of Rhodes' striking talents when Swansea travel to Blackburn on FA Cup business tomorrow.

Further talks are planned after the game.

Queens Park Rangers and Southampton are also monitoring Rhodes' situation.
