JIM McINTYRE'S rebuilding work at Ross County has been aided by the arrival of the club's first specialist goalkeeping coach.

Scott Thomson, the former Raith Rovers favourite, joins McIntyre's reshaped Dingwall backroom team.

The 47-year-old from Edinburgh most recently worked in a similar role at Hibernian, serving there for five years.

Mark Brown, the experienced first-choice No.1, had doubled as goalkeeping coach but the 33-year-old will now return to a playing remit.

Thomson joins McIntyre's six-man backroom team, working alongside the assistant manager Billy Dodds, the youth coaches Steven Ferguson and Stuart Kettlewell, and the nutritionist Ross Hughes.
