Gordon Shedden, from Dalgety Bay, Fife, believes there is still more to come from his Next Generation Honda Civic even though he has won four of the last five British Touring Car Championship races.

Shedden won two races at Thruxton at the weekend to move to within four points of Jason Plato, the series leader, and his Team Dynamics outfit will now seek to eke out even more performance for Oulton Park.

Shedden was forced to retire from the first weekend at Brands Hatch because of electrical faults, but he has pulled right back in the title race and he can see still more greater potential. "It is a new car but we know we have a great chassis," he said. "We are going to look at testing before Oulton Park. We might have areas we can go through in the workshop rather than on track."
