Second round wins for Glenurquhart and Caberfeidh complete the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup quarter final line-up with Glenurquhart through to face Fort William in Drumnadrochit while Caberfeidh are away to Newtonmore.

Glenurquhart players showed their commitment to the cause by agreeing to forgo the RockNess musical festival taking place across the loch and were rewarded with a 3-1 triumph in a replay against Lochaber. They had to come from behind to overcome a stuffy Spean Bridge outfit who scored first through Ben Delaney in the fifth minute.

Ewan Brady was on target in the 32nd minute and in the 55th minute Fraser Heath edged the red and blacks in front for the first time. Teenager Euan Lloyd completed the scoring in the 68th minute.

Caberfeidh meanwhile ended Glenorchy's interest in the competition with a 3-1 win at Castleod. Glenorchy's elimination leaves Kyles Athletic as the sole South representative in the last eight of Shinty's premier trophy.

Lovat, who Glenurquhart will face in next Saturday's MacTavish Cup final, scrambled a 3-1 away win over Kinlochshiel in the Artemis MacAulay Cup. Lorne MacKay opened the scoring for Lovat in the 55th minute but six minutes later Shiel were level after Finlay MacRae converted a penalty.

Lovat were not be denied and late goals from Greg Matheson guided them through to the last four where they will play either Fort William or Newtonmore for a place in August's final.

There was just one match in the Orion Premiership but it was a significant one with Newtonmore's 3-1 home win over Inveraray taking them top of the table.

Beauly and Bute are through to the last four of the Balliemore Cup after quarter-final wins over Glasgow Mid Argyll and Strachur respectively.
