Scotland head coach Vern Cotter has paired brothers Richie and Jonny Gray together in the second row after naming his side to face Argentina at BT Murrayfield on Saturday.

It is a second start and sixth cap overall for 20-year-old Jonny, while his 25-year-old older sibling - a British & Irish Lion - will win his 40th cap.

Gray is not the only promising young player to earn the right to start the nation's opening autumn Test, with 21-year-old Glasgow Warrior Mark Bennett set to win his first cap at outside-centre.

He is one of six Glasgow Warriors players in the Scottish backline, the only exception being captain Greig Laidlaw, the Gloucester scrum-half.

Another four Glasgow players are in the pack, with four more on the bench.

Adam Ashe, a surprise starter for Scotland on their summer tour match against South Africa, is given a vote of confidence by Vern Cotter, who has chosen him at No.8.
