GLASGOW tobacconist Mr George Murray Frame, who ran the family shop in

the city centre for more than 40 years, has died at the age of 82.

Educated at Glasgow Academy, he joined the RAF and spent four years in

Germany as a prisoner during the Second World War. On returning to

Glasgow, he moved into the family business, at the corner of Queen

Street and St Vincent Street.

Mr Murray Frame retired several years ago, and sold the shop last

year, when he moved from Dullatur to Newmarket.

A keen motor rally driver in his younger days, when he drove with

Stirling Moss for the Rootes Group, he was latterly an enthusiastic

curler and golfer notching up three holes-in-one. He is survived by his

stepson and stepdaughter.
