aTHERE was no change at the top of Division 1 with the three leading clubs recording victories. Aberdeen GSFP remain top, beating Edinburgh Wanderers 61-3 in a nine try spectacular, stand-off Keith Oddie contributing 21 points. Sandy Craig scored twice in Stewartry's 27-3 win at Portobello while Duns dominated their 43-24 victory at Wigtownshire with Neil Ainslie and Paul Lyons each grabbing a brace with Stuart Barton kicking 15 points. Fourth-placed East Kilbride slipped up at home to Dunfermline, David Farmer and Matt Baucot scoring the tries.
In Division 2, leaders Hutchesons'/Aloysians won a tense struggle over second-placed Berwick 13-0, thanks to touchdowns from Jamie Doran and Mark Burgess. Dumfries upset third place Livingston holding out for a 25-23 win, with tries from Ricky McDonald, Tristan Carre, and Stuart Clanaghan. Ardrossan can thank try scorer Steve Bowers for their surprise 5-3 win over Royal High.
Division 3 leaders Annan beat closest rivals Linlithgow 25-17. Mark Hollis, Neil McGregor, and Stuart Williamson scored their tries. Third placed Lismore closed the gap, Neil Munro scoring twice in their 32-14 win over Perthshire.
In Division 4, Ross High lost their unbeaten run and top place at Highland losing out 17-12. Davie Stewart scored the try that mattered with team mate Rob Chapman's penalties being cancelled out by Gary Inglis' four efforts. As a result of their 28-12 win at Waysiders/Drumpellier, Madras now head the division.
Garnock are the new Division 5 champions thanks to their 90-3 demolition of Dunbar, and Graham McNab's penalty for Lochaber in their 3-0 win over Murrayfield. The Ayrshire side turned on the style with Ewan Jeans claiming five of their 14 touchdowns, with the boot of Kurt Jacobson converting 10 of them.
In Division 6, top played bottom and Whitecraigs duly despatched visiting Walkerburn 34-6 scoring five tries to none, Chris Morrison claiming two. Carnoustie won the top of the table clash in Division 7, beating visitors Helensburgh 19-5, while Hamilton consolidated third place with a 22-0 win over Panmure, as RAF Lossiemouth slipped up at Broughton.
