AN inmate linked to the Glenochil hostage siege has been stabbed in a prison attack.

Brian Glancy, 27, was taken to Stirling Royal Infirmary on Monday night after he was found collapsed in C Hall in Glenochil Prison, Clackmannanshire.

The prisoner, who had protested his innocence in the siege in January, had been stabbed twice in the stomach.

Prison insiders said Glancy was found by prison officers lying in a pool of blood and taken to hospital, where his condition was ''serious''.
