TWO former directors of

a Glasgow-based toy distribution company that went down in 2002 have given an undertaking not to hold directorships or take any part in company management for periods of six and two years. Leon Yaffie, 37, formerly of Whitecraigs, Glasgow, now of Ave des Cittroniers, Monaco, and Melanie Yaffie, 36, of Whitecraigs, agreed to the undertaking in respect of conduct as directors of Joe Dean, a business which was based at Lethington Road, Glasgow. Acceptance of the undertakings prevents Leon Yaffie from company involvement for six years and prevents his wife from company involvement for two years. According to the department of trade and industry, the Yaffies' ''unfit conduct'' included withdrawing more than (pounds) 1m from Joe Dean and two other associate companies which became insolvent, failure to maintain adequate books and records, and failure to pay the Inland Revenue around (pounds) 51,000.
