Terrestrial Searching for Madeleine: A Dispatches Special Channel 4, 9pm On May 3, Madeleine McCann went missing in Portugal - the one indisputable fact in what has become the news story of 2007. In the fevered eyes of a rabid media, her parents, Kate and Gerry, have yo-yo'd between being victims of tragedy to suspects in their own child's disappearance. But what has really happened in the 168 days since Madeleine was last seen? Five top UK criminal investigators went to Praia da Luz, led by retired policeman Chris Stevenson, who headed the investigation into the murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002. The investigators analyse key moments in the inquiry.

The Whistleblowers ITV1, 9pm Mehmet, a young Turkish illegal immigrant, is smuggled through airport immigration. He's picked up by a notorious Turkish gangster and, within hours, has shot two people. One is clearly a planned hit, but the other is an innocent bystander. According to a young single mother who works at the airport, Mehmet is not the first to slip through the net. Crusading lawyers Ben and Alisha seek the truth.

Digital The Dead Pool TCM, 9pm Welcome to the jungle. Nearly 20 years after Dirty Harry's debut, Clint Eastwood makes his fifth and last appearance as vigilante detective Harry Callahan. Here he finds himself the target of a sick betting game to kill off a list of local celebrities. As Harry memorably tells one no-goodnik: "You're outta bullets. And you know what that means you're outta luck." Warning: features music by, and a cameo appearance from, Guns 'n' Roses.

Friday the 13th TCM, 10.45pm Classic horror. Some pesky teenagers reopen a lakeside camp in a remote town only to be attacked by an undead figure (eeek!) trying to avenge his own demise.

Melinda and Melinda Film4, 11.10pm Woody Allen's bitter-sweet drama stars Radha Mitchell in two roles - both of them as the eponymous Melindas. In one, she is the neighbour of indie film-maker Susan and her resting actor husband, Hobie, into whose lives she comes, tempting Hobie towards adultery. In the other, she's the friend of Laura and her husband, alcoholic Lee. Lee is a serial adulterer: can Melinda escape his clutches? Playing one set of circumstances for comedy and the other for tragedy, the film is a fascinating study of character moulding that keeps us guessing until the very end. One of Woody Allen's better recent films, it was hailed by one critic as a "delightful mix of casual experimentation, light-hearted self-analysis and well-delivered entertainment."

Radio Second Time Around Radio 4, 8pm Just when they are looking forward to freedom on their own terms, many grandparents find themselves taking responsibility for their grandchildren full-time. In this moving exploration of never-empty-nest syndrome, three families discuss the challenges and joys of hands-on parenting forever. Earlier on Radio 4, at 11.30am, Dance of the Seven Veils discusses some of the myths of Salome.
