Willy Caballero. The giant Argentinian continued between the sticks after playing in the Champions League victory against Barcelona and stayed big to defy Dembele and Mackay-Steven. 7
Pablo Maffeo. Teenage full back became a right wing back as City went to a 3-5-2. A few nice touches but struggled to cope with the charges of Forrest down the left. 5
Bacary Sagna. The 33-year-old France international starts most matches for City and returned to the starting line-up but didn't get things all his own way. 5

Tosin Adarabioyo. Local lad is one of a raft of new faces blooded into the city first team in an FA Cup tie against Chelsea. Looked all at sea until Guardiola gave him some extra cover. 5
Gael Clichy. Bucketfuls of experience but didn't shot it when Patrick Roberts skinned him on the inside to fire in a memorable opener. Got lucky when he used his arms to impede the same player. 4
Pablo Zabaleta. The veteran Argentinian enjoyed the rare freedom of a midfield berth and was soon scampering through like a teenager to lay one on a plate for Iheanacho. 7
Fernando. The warlike 29-year-old Brazilian predictably spent most of the evening wrestling away with Scott Brown in the midfield trenches. 6
Ilkay Gundogan. The German international is a World Cup winner and has a Champions League final goal on his resume. Kept his place in the City team from Saturday and used the ball intelligently. 7

Leroy Sane. The German wonderkid, claimed for a mere £37m from Schalke this summer, is nominally a striker but played left wing back for the second game running. Put in some dangerous crosses and showed flaring acceleration a few times but final ball wasn't quite there. 7
Kelechi Iheanacho. The lively 20-year-old Nigerian was preferred to bad boy Sergio Aguero up front and showed why with a fine turn of pace and blistering left foot finish for the equalier. Also got unlucky with a backheel. 7
Nolito. A £13.8m signing from Celta Vigo this summer, this full Spanish international didn't excel but got the weight on his pass just right for Iheanacho's equaliser. Had a goal chalked off for borderline offside in the second half. 7

Jesus Navas (on for Maffeo 62). The pacy winger was the last man Emilio Izaguirre wanted to see when he came on around the hour mark. 6
