Flora (nee Campbell) Henderson

HENDERSON FLORA (nee CAMPBELL). Peacefully, at Ayr Hospital, after a short illness, Flora Henderson, aged 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Edward Henderson. Funeral service will take place on Monday, 4th March at Holmsford Bridge Crematorium, by Dreghorn at 12.30pm, to which all are respectfully invited. Donations in lieu of flowers to the British Red Cross and Troon Lifeboat.

It's with great sadness that we learned of Flora's passing, but we have such happy memories of visits to her in Troon. Her escapades with Alice (my grandmother), along with her loving and tender care, were inspirational. And the life-long friendship with Anne (my mom & Flora's cousin) brought so much richness, laughter, and love to both of them. Sending our love and thoughts from Australia. Marie José McCulloch (98), friends with Flossy (Flora) since they were girls, is very sad to hear of her passing.
Jackie, Floras goddaughter, and her family also send their love. It was lovely to have a chance to see Flora in 2016 on a visit to Scotland.
May she Rest In Peace.
