THOMSON MAITLAND W. Peacefully, on 5th March, 2019, Maitland. Beloved husband of Pamela, a much loved father of Fiona and Angela and adored grandad of Gordon, Anador, Callum, Jamie and Ella. Funeral service will take place at Masonhill Crematorium, Ayr, on Thursday, 14th March at 10.30am.

Pamela,
Lillian and I are so sorry to hear your news about Maitland. We are in Florida and most unfortunately will not be able to attend the funeral.
I am so sorry that he was unable to make my birthday party at Troon in October as I and all the boys would have liked to see him again.
As you know, I played golf for many years with him, along with David and Donald and we all got on well and really enjoyed our golf together.
I am glad to see that his end was peaceful as I know that he was struggling when he phoned me in October.
I hope that You and the family get through Thursday and you are left with many kind and happy thoughts of my friend Maitland.
