CHALMERS JOHN BARCLAY. Peacefully at home, on Wednesday 6th March 2019. John Barclay Chalmers, aged 68 years, of the Steading, Strathaven. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Ann and formerly the late Erika. Dearly loved father of Katie, John, Mhairi, Robert, Alexandra and James, a much loved papa of all the family, a dear brother, uncle and friend to many. Interred Portpatrick Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that we learned of Barclay’s passing. I met him over 50 years ago during my senior school days in Stranraer. He became a good friend but our lives took different directions. My parents were friendly with his parents, in fact Barclay’s father gave a speech at our wedding!
Please extend our deepest condolences to the whole Chalmers family.
