McCANN - John After a short illness at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, on Monday 23rd March 2020, aged 84 years. Much loved husband of Brenda, loving father to Jane and Elizabeth and a proud grandfather of Fiona, Ian and Lewis. Cremation private. Donations welcome if desired for the R.N.L.I. and British Heart Foundation.

So sorry to hear of John's death. He taught me in the John Neilson Instituion about 1966-67 and then when I became a Maths Teacher, he was my principal teacher in Port Glasgow High School from 1977-80.
I held him in the highest regard - he was respected and loved by pupils and staff alike.
I last met and spoke with him just a year ago, when he was on the 'front desk' of the Bearsden Fiddlers.
Treasured memories!

So sorry to read this. John was one of those people you thought was indestructible. Not so, unfortunately.
