SMITH - Alexander Cowie (Sandy) With great sadness, we announce the loss of Alexander Cowie Smith (Sandy), Bishopton, born 1927 Buckie, widower of Margaret (nee Sprott) father to Fiona, Patricia and Jennifer. Principal Nautical College, retired 1991. Passed away after short illness at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley on 14th February 2021. Private funeral will be held. RNLI donations welcome.

Thinking of you all. Sandy was a great neighbour to us in Dargavel Avenue. From being in the inspection pit in the garage with my Dad checking DIY car repairs to days out sailing on Wind Song and of course his enormous generosity when pouring the whisky for my Dad. And he waved me off with a wink and a huge smile as I moved south in October 1998. Donation to RNLI made in his memory. Lee Cassels
