McNEISH - Alexander Stewart (Sandy) Died suddenly on 2nd August 2021 aged 83. Alumnus of The Glasgow Academy and University of Glasgow, former Professor of Paediatrics and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Birmingham. Husband of 58 years to Joan, father of Alistair, Iain and the late Fiona, and grandfather to Freya, Sabina, Angus and Iona. Private funeral. A memorial service will take place in October.

Very sorry to read of the sad news. Sandy and I were friends in the Kindergarten at The High School of Glasgow before he went to the Academy and I still have the school photograph from that time and often wondered how Sandy's life had progressed. Alan McNeilage
