REID - Samuel McClure It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Sam Reid, aged 87, on 28th July 2022 at Hairmyres Hospital. Beloved husband of Betty, father of Dot and Sam, grandfather of Charlie, Stephanie, Joe, Lauren and Kyle, father-in-law of Charlie and Deborah, he will be sorely missed by us all. A short committal service will be held at Bent Cemetery, Hamilton, at 1.45pm on Thursday 11th August (Cortege leaves from Selkirk Street Evangelical Church at 1.30pm), followed by a service of thanksgiving in the church at 2.30pm.
