Noel Gallagher has warned an Oasis reunion with brother Liam is unlikely due to his ‘moron’ social media presence.

The High Flying Birds frontman described Liam’s Tweets as “another nail in the coffin” of a potential reunion for the Britpop icons - who have not appeared on stage together for over a decade.

In an interview with The Big Issue, Noel took aim at his brother’s “strange behaviour,” criticising his posts on Twitter.

The siblings had an explosive falling out just hours before a festival appearance in Paris in 2009 and have not performed together since.

Liam, who performed to a sellout crowd at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on Friday, previously fueled rumours of a potential reunion after claiming Noel and his family would be invited to his upcoming wedding.

But Noel has poured cold water on those reports, saying: “It's strange behaviour for someone who is gagging for me to pick up the phone and say let's do it.”

"He'd put his whole life on hold to get Oasis back together.”

He added: “But every tweet he sends out, it's another nail in the coffin of that idea."

Earlier this year, Noel’s wife Sara MacDonald alleged Liam had sent her threatening messages.

Speaking directly to Liam through the magazine, Noel said: "If you think for one minute I am going to share a stage with you after what you've said you are f****** more of a moron than you look."
