I-DESIGN group, the cash machine marketing solutions specialist, said yesterday that it has signed a new deal with Barclays Bank covering its UK estate of 4000 ATMs and kiosks.
Under terms of the contract, Dundee-based i-design will supply software, called atmAd, to all of the bank’s cash machines, allowing them to carry advertising. The deal will boost the number of ATMs in the i-design network to 21,000.
I-design did not disclose financial details.
Ana Stewart, i-design’s chief executive, said: “I am delighted to announce Barclays has selected our technology after a rigorous tender process.
“We believe our marketing solution provides unrivalled technological advantages and gives banks the flexibility and tools to unlock new ways of communicating and engaging with their customers.”
I-design said in a first-half announcement in April it expected to see a “marked increase” in revenues in the second half compared to a year ago when it reported a 38% rise in sales.
At the time, it said discussions with new banking customers had been “encouraging”.
In March, i-design secured an extension of an existing contract with Nationwide Building Society covering 2300 of its cash machines and a 12-month deal with Pizza Hut for 1500 of its ATMs across the UK.
City analysts said the contract should enable the group to meet mid-point, full-year 2011 estimate for revenues and earnings per share.
Late last year, i-design reported a 35% drop in losses to £723,000 following a strong second-half performance. Revenues last year grew to £2.37 million compared to £2.17m in 2009.
