CATERING company Ginger Snap is predicting a 40% rise in turnover as it moves into new premises.

The Edinburgh business has taken on two new chefs after investing £40,000 on a 1000 sq ft unit in Leith.

Founder Tania Dixon expects to increase sales from £360,000 to £500,000 in the current financial year.

The 30-year-old said: "I've been steadily building the business over the past six years, following the humble beginnings of Ginger Snap from my parents' kitchen.

"Having secured a strong client base, this year seemed the right time to make the move and expand into new premises."
