A £2 MILLION indoor trampoline park will create about 60 jobs when it opens its doors later this year.

The Air Space venture, the first of its type in Scotland and the largest freestyle jumping facility in Europe, is being launched by outdoor adventure and leisure company Go Ape.

It will have more than 100 trampolines and be located at the Playsport complex in East Kilbride in an arena equivalent in size to about six basketball courts. Pete Brown, operations manager at Air Space, said: "Indoor trampoline arenas have taken the US and Australia by storm and it's fantastic to be at the forefront of the buzz in Scotland."

Go Ape, which operates attractions such as tree-top obstacle courses and Segway safaris, has 28 sites across the UK including three in Scotland.
