PAGAN Osborne is launching a new family law unit with the hire of two staff from a rival firm.
Jackie McRae becomes a partner and head of family law in the Edinburgh office. She is also a qualified social worker,
Ms McRae, formerly of MHD Law, is expected to take up the post early next year and is bringing solicitor Cameron Shaw with her.
She said; "This is the start of a very exciting chapter as we launch and build a strong family law service at Pagan Osborne."
Alistair Morris, chief executive of Pagan Osborne, said: "We are delighted to welcome these highly experienced and knowledgeable individuals to launch and lead our family law service."
The firm employs more than 100 people across its six offices in Edinburgh and Fife.
