Sigma, the residential and urban regeneration specialist, has appointed Malcolm Briselden as finance director following the retirement from the company and the board of long-serving FD Marilyn Cole.
The Edinburgh-based company appointed Mr Briselden group financial controller in 2012 after he left Premier Property Group, the commercial property arm of Murray International Holdings. In nine years with Sir David Murray's group the chartered management accountant worked on investment and development opportunities in the office, industrial and retail sectors and was involved in projects ranging in value from £1m to over £100m.
Ms Cole has been with Sigma since before it joined the Alternative Investment Market in 2001.
Graham Barnet, Sigma's chief executive, said: "Malcolm is a highly experienced finance professional with a thorough knowledge of our business who has played a key role in developing governance and control procedures for our new ventures. I would also like to thank Marilyn for her work throughout her tenure....she has made an invaluable contribution to the growth and development of the business."
