HOUSE builder and property developer the J W Muir Group is on course for a record year with turnover expected to top £100 million and profits also tipped to grow.
The privately owned company said it expects to report a major increase on the £73.6m revenue it reported for the 12 months to February 2, 2014, and the near £4m profits it booked.
John Muir, group chairman, said the business was reaping the rewards from long term investments it had made in its land portfolio.
Development subsidiary Hermiston Securities was said to have benefited from a strong performance at the Aberdeen Gateway business park.
While construction remained challenging Mr Muir said the division had returned an "acceptable" profit and order book enquiries were currently ahead of last year.
The company, which has its headquarters in Inverkeithing, Fife, employs around 300 people.
