ADVERTISING agency The Union has been selected to create a new global campaign for VisitScotland.

The agreement will cover all forms of media across the UK as well as the tourism agency's international markets.

The Union, which has the bulk of its 85 staff in Edinburgh, said it will use its international agency network Worldwide Partners to implement the campaign overseas.

Chairman Ian McAteer said: "It's a huge win for us and the team can't wait to get started."

The campaign is scheduled to launch later this year. The Union won the contract following a competitive tender on the Scottish Government's marketing roster.
