SKYSCANNER co-founder Gareth Williams has acquired an undisclosed stake in cyber security firm My1Login as part of a £1.3 million injection into the business from a consortium of private and public sector investors.

My1Login, which has a development centre in Glasgow, is a technology company that offers solutions to what is known as the identity and access management.

Mr Williams, chief executive of Skyscanner, said: “My1Login is perfectly placed to be the European leader in identity and access management and I’m excited to be involved in the next stage of their growth”.

Mike Newman, chief executive of My1Login added: “I have long admired Skyscanner as a company and Gareth as a role model for building a hugely-successful global technology business.

“We feel honoured to attract investment from the co-founder of one of Scotland’s unicorn companies.”

Among My1Login 1,000 customers is Scottish Water Business Stream. In addition, Salesforce – the global leader in customer relationship management software – has become a strategic partner of My1Login.
