FORTH Ports has unveiled plans to invest in a purpose-built training academy at Grangemouth.

It said the 420-square metre training academy at Scotland’s largest port was a “key strategic investment in Forth Ports’ long-term focus on skills, qualifications and personal development for employees across its Scottish operations, including Dundee, Leith, Rosyth and Grangemouth”.

Forth Ports said: “The training academy in Scotland is being built to ensure the right skills are in place to support the future growth of the business and sustainability of the ports, as well as providing opportunities and flexibility for employees to broaden their skills and enhance their careers and job satisfaction.”

Construction work is due to start early next year.
