UK business leaders now view a no-deal Brexit as the most likely outcome – a scenario in stark contrast to their favoured option of a second referendum in which Remain wins ¬- a key survey has revealed.

The survey by YouGov B2B Omnibus shows that, of those who see a no-deal Brexit as likely, 37% say their business is not prepared for such an outcome.

Of those polled, 49% cited a no-deal Brexit as the most likely outcome, the highest percentage for any of the possible scenarios. And 50% expressed a preference for a second referendum won by Remain.

YouGov highlights the fact that most business leaders voted to remain in the European Union in the June 2016 referendum.

The poll shows that two thirds of business decision-makers disagree with the suggestion that the UK Government has consulted them adequately on Brexit strategy.

YouGov has found that the majority of business leaders in every sector apart from construction voted to stay in the EU in June 2016.
