The Scottish Salmon Company has said it will invest £10 million in operational infrastructure.

The firm said it includes a new facility on the Applecross Estate in Wester Ross, due to be completed in 2020, and it has also acquired two freshwater facilities nearby.

The company had record results in 2018, with revenues reaching £180.1m.

Chief executive Craig Anderson said the firm is “making significant investment in the Highlands and Islands”.

“These infrastructure projects will mean long-term job security and more spending in the local area.”
