SCOTTISH joint venture Ankaa has invested more than £500,000 in developing an app and portal aimed at “revolutionising” the way in which marine operators globally can manage crewing data and improve engagement and communication with staff.

Ankaa is a joint venture between Glasgow-based Clyde Marine Recruitment and recruitment and data software specialist Bala Narayanan.

The system offers “real-time visibility” of crew personal information, certification validity and copy documentation, offering crew access on mobile devices and through the portal.

Ankaa has secured two high-profile customers, MBSS, an Indonesian provider of sea logistics with more than 1,200 seafarers, and Serco Northlink Ferries.
