THE luxury Dukeside Lodge, near St Andrews in Fife, has reopened after its acquisition was supported by a £615,000 funding deal.

Assetz Capital, which invests on behalf of private individuals, funded the purchase of the four-star guesthouse, which is run by Stuart Mackenzie and his wife. The property, located one mile from the famous Duke’s Course in St Andrews, relaunched recently following refurbishments. With

13 individually-themed bedrooms, it has capacity to host up to 30 people.

Mr Mackenzie said the Assetz deal was “pivotal in helping us get up and running.”
