CRAIG Anderson has vacated his post as chief executive of the Scottish Salmon Company, as Faroese firm Bakkafrost completes its acquisition of a majority stake in the Oslo-listed business.

He has been replaced by Odd Eliasen, managing director of Havsbrun, part of the Bakkafrost group.

Mr Anderson was credited with creating shareholder value during his tenure, culminating with the Bakkafrost deal. He said: “I am proud of the entire SSC team and the success that we collectively achieved. It has been a pleasure being the driving force in ensuring that throughout the world, the value of Scottish provenance continues to be recognised.”
