The oldest name in Scottish accountancy is set to disappear under re-branding plans by its international owner.

Scott Moncrieff – whose clients include one dating back to 1792 – and Campbell Dallas will now trade under the Azets name. Azets is the largest brand within Cogital Group, which owns both Scottish firms.

Founded in 1999 through the merger of two Paisley accountants, Campbell Dallas became part of Cogital Group in October 2017. Scott Moncrieff joined the fold in April 2019.

Cogital – now known as Azets Group – has 6,500 employees and 600 partners operating out of more than 160 offices across the UK and Europe. Annual turnover is more than £500m.

“The rebranding of Campbell Dallas and Scott Moncrieff to Azets marks a seismic step forward in our plan to be a disruptive and ambitious business focused on advising our clients in the local community of SMEs, growing family businesses, entrepreneurs and the public sector,” said Chris Horne, regional chief executive for Scotland and the north of England.

“The global scale and reach of resources of Azets will allow us to accelerate investment in the best technology, develop new client services and recruit the best talent, which have been core to the way we do business in Scotland. The accountancy market is ripe for disruption and change, and we think that under one brand we will be well-placed to drive that change process.”
