Omega launches new test
Medical test manufacturer Omega Diagnostics has announced the commercial launch of its Visitect Covid-19 antigen test, which determines whether a person is currently infected with the disease.
The roll-out follows the successful CE marking announced last month. The test uses throat and nasal swabs and produces a result within 10 minutes.
The company said it is talking with several potential partners looking to order and distribute the test. Shares in AIM-listed Omega, based in Alva, Clackmannanshire, closed 2.25p lower yesterday at 71.25p.
